Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is going to Add Some Deleted scenes in the home release

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is still running in the theaters with its own charm, and it just moving towards the billion-dollar after the set becomes settled at the end. We have the good news for you, we are going to get some new scenes for home release. As it is still being in cinemas, some behind-the-scenes shots just have found the way online, containing that also suggesting Wong is close to more help at Mount Wundagore.

On Twitter, @DrStrangeUpdate drops the clips of questions that show yay stand-ins for Wong and Adam Hugill along with two other sorcerers belonging to Kamar-Taj and on scaling the rocky face of Wundagore. The role of Hugill played Rintrah along with the magical minotaur, and that’s the character largely cut from the film. At one point, it’s just indicating that the finale contains Strange, omg, Rintrah, and many sorcerers helping to take down the Scarlet Witch.

On giving priority to the earlier release of this month, Sam Raimi declared upwards of 40 minutes had been removed from the film, and he had not confirmed year that which deleted scene Marvel is going to attach in the home release of the film.

In an interview with Collider, Sam Raimi said, “I’m trying to remember what Marvel is including in deleted scenes. It’s really going to be their decision, but I know that there is a minimum of two or three deleted scenes that will be included.” he also added, “I don’t know the full extent of them through.”

The director of the film added,” Well, the first cut was I actually don’t remember the length of it. It was probably like two hours and 40 minutes, and it slowly came down even though we did the reshoots. We took out the material even though the reshoots went in. So, it slowly got down to about two hours and five minutes is the total.”

Now, Marvel Studios is going to set the home media to drop the date for the Doctor Strange sequel. In the posy pandemic world, Marvel Studios has typically provided the film’s 45-day exclusive theatrical window, know it’s still not clear if that will be the case along with a film like Multiverse of Madness as it’s still doing an outstanding performance at the box office.

The new Doctor Strange movie is exclusively in theaters across the world.

Doctor Strange 2 Producer Addresses Confusing What If...? Connection

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness promises to be a crossover event worthy of Avengers: Infinity War and Spider-Man: No Way Home comparisons.

Aside from being a sequel to 2016's Doctor Strange, Multiverse of Madness will bring legacy characters from franchises outside of the Marvel Cinematic Universe canon into the fold.

Doctor Strange 2's second trailer confirmed a year's worth of speculation with the vocal appearance of Patrick Stewart's Professor X. While Charles Xavier is just one character, his appearance opens the door for further cameos across the vast Multiverse.

Those cameos are not limited to the third dimension either. One frame of the Multiverse of Madness Super Bowl trailer showcases Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange drifting into an animated universe, further emphasizing how weird this film is going to get.

That cartoon crossover validated rumors of connections with What If...?, Marvel Studios' animated anthology that explored alternate MCU timelines, while other theories were shut down by this trailer. Subtitles revealed the evil Doctor Strange Variant to be "Sinister Strange," not What If...?'s Strange Supreme.

What is and is not being borrowed from What If...? for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness remains largely unknown, but one of the film's producers has addressed the potential connections.
Doctor Strange 2's Ties to What If...?

And if you think he's evil, just wait 'til you meet his Variants.

In the Spring 2022 issue of Disney’s D23 Magazine obtained by The Direct, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness producer Richie Palmer noted that regardless of all the Multiversal cameos, this film is ultimately about Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange "reckoning with himself":

"After all the decisions he's made over the years, this movie really shows Stephen reckoning with himself."

That self-judgement won't just be an inner monologue either, as the MCU's Strange will be faced with immoral versions of himself in the flesh. This was similarly explored in What If...? Episode 4, where viewers follow a Stephen Strange who loses his love in his infamous car wreck.

As evidenced by What If...?, a desperate Strange is a dangerous Strange, which Palmer hopes to do "justice" by in Multiverse of Madness:

"Things get pretty trippy. We love that episode of What If...?, and we hope to do it justice. It shows another version of Doctor Strange - one who let the universe he lived in be destroyed because of his love for Christine. If he was capable of that, for a selfish reason, is that something that our Stephen would be capable of doing, too? We'd like to think, 'No, our guy's the hero,' but you never know."
Multiverse of Madness' Animated Inspiration

While Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is sure to have a couple of What If...? connections, the animated anthology's Episode 4 seems more like inspiration rather than an actual tie-in.

Palmer's focus on doing "justice" by What If...? feels more like wanting to retain the show's vibe of an evil Strange rather than picking up where it left off. That said, Doctor Strange 2 does not have to be a carbon copy of what the cartoon accomplished.

What If...?'s Strange Supreme was rooted in a human reality. His lust for power came from a place of longing for a lost loved one, which only emphasized that no matter how disfigured he became, Strange was still a real person with real emotion deep down inside. His fall from grace was birthed out of a "selfish" motive, not purely evil intent.

Sinister Strange looks to be dipping into the wicked for wicked's sake. The best villains are those who see themselves as the heroes of their own stories, but the scariest ones are those who are absent of humanity. If that's the direction Multiverse of Madness is heading, the good doctor is in for the fight of his life.

Disney Spoils How MCU's Doctor Strange Will Meet America Chavez

Marvel Studios' Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is becoming one of the hottest topics in the comic book movie world ahead of its May 6 release. Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange is set to team up with an incredible roster of supporting players to tackle his Multiversal problems. This includes Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch, Benedict Wong's Wong, and an MCU newcomer in Xochitl Gomez's America Chavez.

Gomez's new character is already making quite the impact ahead of her MCU debut thanks to her incredible powers and her ties with the Young Avengers from Marvel Comics. She'll also bring a power set into the Marvel narrative that's unlike anything ever seen in MCU history, even in a film with multiple sorcerers, chaos magic, and versions of the X-Men in play.

Having only seen a few seconds of screentime and one line of dialogue through promotional material thus far, America's introduction to the MCU is still largely shrouded in mystery. Thankfully, some details surrounding her first Marvel movie are coming to light courtesy of key players helping bring her to life on the big screen alongside Doctor Strange.

Doctor Strange's First Interactions with America Chavez

In the Spring 2022 issue of Disney's D23 Magazine obtained by The Direct, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness co-producer Richie Palmer and star Xochitl Gomez explored America Chavez's introduction to the MCU.

Palmer said that America is someone that Marvel Studios has been "trying to get into the MCU for a long time," admitting that Doctor Strange 2 was the perfect place to do it. Since her powers allow her to traverse the Multiverse with relative ease, it puts her in conflict with Doctor Strange and Wong, who have a responsibility "to protect those barriers" between universes:

“America is someone we’ve been trying to get into the MCU for a long time. This felt like the best place to do it, because ‘Multiverse’ is in the title and her powers specifically have to do with the Multiverse - her powers being that she can punch open doorways to other universes. That’s something we haven’t seen in our movies, a character who can actually walk from one universe to another. That’s maddening in itself for characters such as Doctor Strange and Wong, whose jobs are to protect those barriers.”

The report shares how America meets Strange and Wong in the streets of New York City as a giant monster (Gargantos) chases her through the city. Palmer made it clear that Strange and Wong will stand and fight something like that from another reality:

“If a threat like that comes into our reality from another, those guys are going to fight it.”

Gomez chimed in by looking at Strange wanting to understand America better after their first meeting. She also looked into her character by sharing that she "just keeps going," no matter what's in front of her:

“He naturally wants to know more about her. With America, she just keeps going, especially when things are going wrong - and everything is going completely wrong for her. She’s running away from her uniqueness, until she learns to embrace it. She just never loses hope, and I can relate to that. She’s aspirational that way.”

Two Powerful Multiversal Heroes Meeting

Rumors have pointed to America Chavez's story featuring the villainous tentacled monster Gargantos as he tries to obtain her powers to gain complete control of the Multiverse. According to this new report, this plot point will supposedly come into play almost immediately after their arrival into the story as America runs through New York City.

Footage from the second Doctor Strange 2 trailer showed some of this action as America runs amongst the crowd, all while Gargantos unleashes his might on the surrounding area. How fast this action comes into the movie is still a mystery, but it's clear that the young heroine will be in for a world of trouble as soon as she travels to the MCU's core universe.

With so many threats in front of Doctor Strange in this movie, his reaction to America's abilities will be telling as he learns about her Multiversal powers. Whether he sees her as a threat or an ally at first will have fans intrigued, particularly with her being able to break the barriers that he's trying so desperately to protect.

Regardless of how everything turns out, America's first moments will be something to watch out for as she and Gargantos wreak havoc in the city streets.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will debut in theaters on May 6, 2022.

Marvel Explains Why Doctor Strange 2 Is Definitely a 'Sam Raimi Movie'

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse is a film that's been a long time coming. Benedict Cumberbatch's leading sorcerer hasn't had a solo movie since his debut in 2016. Since then, he's played a part in other ensemble films such as Avengers: Infinity War, Endgame, Spider-Man: No Way Home. His moment to finally take on the limelight is at hand as he is forced to try to keep the Multiverse from being destroyed—how hard could it be?

Sadly for fans of the first film, the original director, Scott Derrickson, won't be returning this time around. He was originally slated to direct Multiverse of Madness, but creative differences got the best of everyone involved. While he remains positive about Marvel Studios and his time there, Strange's sequel is left in the hands of a new director: Sam Raimi.

When Raimi was announced, many were surprised. The man who directed the first three Spider-Man films is not someone fans were expecting to take over the mystic side of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, even with a Doctor Strange Easter Egg in 2004's Spider-Man 2.

Now, one of the producers of Multiverse of Madness has spoken out about how the film will absolutely feel like a Raimi production, so fans don’t need to worry.

The Strange Sam Raimi Movie

In the Spring 2022 issue of Disney's D23 Magazine obtained by The Direct, Marvel Studios producer Richie Palmer talked about working with Sam Raimi, the director of Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness.

Palmer exclaimed how Raimi is “one of the godfathers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe,” and that “there is no one with better instincts:”

"To have Sam Raimi working on this movie is an insane dream come true for all of us… He's one of the godfathers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. For him to pick up the Doctor Strange story after a Spider-Man movie that has Multiversal ties was really exciting for us. There is no one with better instincts. Whether it's sci-fi, horror, comedy, or romance, Sam is the master.”

The producer continued on, saying how the 62-year-old director is “the perfect man for the job:”

“When it comes to a movie like this, where we're incorporating a bunch of different genres, he’s the perfect man for the job, and that's not even getting to how well he works with a camera or that he's the master of suspense in his own right. We're really leaning into those 'Sam Raimi' qualities and making this a truly Sam Raimi movie.”
Doctor Strange Meets Raimi

Fans love Sam Raimi for his very particular style and the way his films feel. One of his most iconic, outside of the Spider-Man franchise, was the Evil Dead trilogy; given those zombie Doctor Strange shots, there’s likely to be some clear influences in his next movie.

It also helps that the project is focused on the Multiverse, which allows the creative team to do literally anything it wants. From cameos to weird monsters—there’s no limit to what the story can give audiences.

Add on how the film is set to lean into the horror aspects of it all, and Raimi is going to be right at home. Sure, with it being a Marvel Studios film, it can’t be pure R-Rated horror (yet), but there’s no doubt the director’s zaniness will be in full effect.

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 6 later this year.

Doctor Strange 2 Producer Teases Scarlet Witch's Unexpected Scenes

By Klein Felt

It may feel like a dry spell now, but MCU fans have only mere weeks to wait before the Marvel Studios machine kicks into overdrive for the new year. At the moment, the biggest of these imminent projects has to be Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The spell-binding sequel is set to debut on May 6, bringing Benedict Cumberbatch's Stephen Strange back to the big screen, alongside Elizabeth Olsen's Scarlet Witch.

Olsen's Avenger was last seen in her own Disney+ series WandaVision last year, having finished the show in the possession of some dark magic that will surely turn the head of one Doctor Strange.

Both Strange and Wanda have been prominent in the film's marketing thus far with Ms. Maximoff supposedly serving as somewhat of an antagonist in the upcoming MCU film. While the exact specifics of her story in Strange's adventure have not been given, recent quotes do hint at what is in store for the two.
Strange and Wanda Team Up

In the Spring 2022 issue of Disney's D23 magazine obtained by The Direct, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness co-producer Richie Palmer teased unexpected things for Elizabeth Olsen's Wanda Maximoff in the upcoming sequel.

Palmer revealed her excitement for Scarlet Witch's team-up with Doctor Strange, saying "fans have been eager to see [this] for years," and that they got to do this in a "pretty fun, unique way:"

"They are arguably two of the most - if not the most - powerful beings in the MCU. It was only a matter of time before we got them together, and we do it in a pretty fun, unique way."

That isn't to say this will be standard or run-of-the-mill by any means, as the Marvel producer mentions that despite being a "classic Marvel team up" the two "do some things together that you'd never expect to see them do:"

"It's a classic Marvel team up, but they do some things together that you'd never expect to see them do."

This will be something different for Wanda in her meeting with Strange, as Palmer says, "Wanda has been through a lot," but after the events of WandaVision "she really knows who she is." This new feeling of "self-actualization" will surely play into the unexpected surprises Palmer is teasing.
Expect the Unexpected for Multiverse of Madness

If the marketing for Multiverse of Madness has taught fans anything it has been to expect the unexpected when it comes to the upcoming MCU sequel. The film looks like it is going to be a trippy, cameo-filled adventure through the Multiverse, so the fact that fans are going to be surprised by some situations Wanda and Strange find themselves in is not all that surprising.

But what could the specifics of those unexpected shenanigans going to be? Could Wanda become entangled with the Marvel Illuminati that is rumored to appear in the film? Or maybe she meets her animated counterpart from the 1990s X-Men cartoon? When dealing with the Multiverse the possibilities are literally endless.

Of note here, though, is the use of the word "team-up" when talking about Strange and the Scarlet Witch. It has been widely assumed that Olsen's sorceress would be serving as more of an antagonistic figure in the upcoming film, but if she is in fact teaming up with Stephen Strange and co., then that may not be the case.

Certainly, all will be answered when Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 5.
